Cat Nipped Castle
Kids
Lady Tyre, being quite
the proper English miss that she is, gave birth to four bouncing babies inside
the cupboard made famous by her little sister, Ms. Skadi. Yearning for familiar
surroundings, she decided to name each of her babies after the castles of her
homeland: Harlech, Tewkesbury, Arundel, and Tintagel.
The
funny part of delivery day was when Tyre left her babies to take care of her own
needs. Ms. Skadi began to swoop in and nip one baby at a time, taking them away to where she felt it would be safe: under the bed. Oh,
goodness! Not again! I was so concerned that she would teach Tyre bad habits,
I had to ban Ms. Skadi from the baby room! Tyre, however, was so upset that her
little sis wasn’t there, that she cried and cried until we allowed all of the
other kitties in to visit the new mom. I think she laid down the law, insisting
that her babies were perfectly happy where they were, and that if Ms. Skadi
would like to visit she would be most welcome anytime, as long as she didn’t nip them
away. I looked in on them afterwards and saw Tyre, relaxed with her newborn
babes nursing happily on one side of the cupboard while Ms. Skadi sat and
chatted comfortably on the other side of the cupboard. I'm quite sure I
smelled crumpets and tea! Don’t you just love
English manners!
She is so very proud of her little
castle kids, and we are, too!
I
present you our four bouncing Cat Nipped Castle Kids!
